- Drain the seeds before spreading evenly over the soil surface.
- Use the top soil packet to cover the seeds lightly, ensuring they are completely covered.
- Place the cover over the container to keep the soil mix in place, preventing cats from accessing it.
- Water the seeds using the spray bottle until the soil is moist but not soaked.
- Keep the container in a warm, well-lit area, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Mist the seeds daily to keep the soil moist.
- Remove the cover once the seeds begin to germinate (usually within 2-3 days).
- Supervise your cat's interaction with the growing wheatgrass.
- Allow your cat to nibble on the grass once it reaches about 4-6 inches tall, typically within 7-10 days.
